2000 - 16 years old: Rookie of the Year - Sprint Car Owners of Arizona -
finished 3rd in points and Qualified for the preliminary A-main

1999 - 15 years old: Ran ASCS Sprint Cars - Partial World of Outlaws &
Sprint Car Owners of Arizona - Became the youngest driver ever to qualify
for Knoxville Nationals

1998 - 14 years old: Started running local 360 sprint cars

1997 - 13 years old: Ran Micro Midgets finished 2nd in points and started
racing trucks finished 8th in points after only running half the season

1996 - 12 years old: Ran Quarter Midgets and part time Micro Midgets (won 4
races in Micros as a rookie)

1995 - 11 years old: JR won his first Championship in Quarter Midgets.

1994 - With his younger brother, Wes, JR began racing with the Tulsa Quarter
Midget Association. His family was very supportive of his efforts, following
him from race to race throughout Oklahoma and Texas.
